Click on the button to read the rules, guidelines, and tips. Think of this as a great time to get new pictures of your pet!

And don't forget the STORY of your pet! This makes the entry for the Calendar awesome! Think of his or her story being read along with all the other FANTASTIC adoption stories!

If you would rather mail in your submissions, paper entry forms are available at Pet Pangaea and Ridgeview Veterinary Hospital.

Friends of Shelter and Companion Animals, a humane organization based in Los Alamos is trying to improve the quality of life for unwanted pets and find homes for homeless animals.  We work closely with local shelters, with local veterinarians, and with other humane societies.

Friends of Shelter and Companion Animals sponsors two special programs to help pet owners and reduce the number of unwanted pets.  The Catastrophic Illness/Injury program provides funds for veterinary treatment of severely ill or injured pets whose owners cannot afford extensive treatment.  The second program provides vouchers for free spay/neutering of pets, in order to encourage pet owners to make sure that their pets are surgically altered and cannot produce litters of unwanted cats or dogs. We also provide funding for spay/neuter surgeries in partnership with local rescue groups, including organizations that work with local pueblos and the Navajo Nation to reduce pet overpopulation there.

The 2024 calendars will go on sale in November at local businesses, and all proceeds will go directly to help the animals through Friends of Shelter and Companion Animals programs.  So, remember, get those entries in by October 8!
